Marching into spring

What a beautiful weekend of weather we had! I hope you all enjoyed it. Last week’s Kindness rocks and snake discovery were memorable. PXL_20260224_201119346Back at the school, for diversity & respect week, we learned how Black jazz musicians and athletes invented the High 5 and  learned to use hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ words to play ‘Go Go Stop’. We also borrowed a new kit for pretending to be an Optometrist. Going to the eye doctor was never so much fun. Students were all in on Pink Shirt Day – some were head to toe pink! Bullies beware – we stand up for each other in Div.10!PXL_20260224_191945036

The week ahead: March 2-6

Our last outdoor days at the park promise to be enjoyable. I’m looking forward to sharing student progress at the conferences this week. Please continue to send in field trip forms (snowshoeing and fishing)

  • Monday – At the park. We’ll go on a big hike to find out what’s on the other side of the Island and then draw maps of our special places.
  • Tuesday – At the park. Cultural picnic. If you would like to send a sample of food to share, that would be great!
  • Wednesday – at FLE. Book exchanges. Early Dismissal at 12:08 for conferences.
  • Thursday – Conferences all day. Students only attend at their conference time.
  • Friday – at FLE. Career dress-up Spirit Day.
