It looks like we’ll have some lovely weather for our first park days. We’ll meet at the picnic shelter for drop off and pick up. These first days, we’ll be learning about being safe in the park and what to do if you get separated from the group, or encounter a loose dog, horses or wildlife. The main message to students is to stay with the group.
Last week, students enjoyed building log cabins, making the colour orange and running for Terry Fox.
The week ahead: September 22-30
- Monday & Tuesday – at the park.
- Wednesday – at FLE. Send library books back to school. Please ensure your child has clean shoes for inside and gym and an extra set of clothes at school.
- Thursday – at FLE.
- Friday – at FLE. Orange Shirt Day. Students are encouraged to wear orange. I’ll teach about why we recognize this day and about the rights of every child to a safe and welcoming school.
- Monday, Sept. 29 – School Improvement Day – no students attend.
- Tuesday, Sept. 30 – Truth & Reconciliation Day – school is closed.
