The first week back was tiring for all of us but I did notice a jump in maturity and readiness for learning. Term 2 is always so full of progress for kindergarteners. Here they are learning about story settings by creating a winter scene and playing a ‘hug a tree’ game to learn about deciduous/evergreen trees. We also really enjoyed seeing the creative crazy hats and making a beaded bracelet with the Aboriginal Cultural Presenter.
I hope students are ready for a wet day tomorrow! We’ll at least be able to get out of the rain for times in the shelter. Hopefully, the novelty of starting at a new location will raise our spirits.
- Monday – at the park. Exploring new trails and learning space.
- Tuesday – at the park. Old-fashioned fun is the theme of the day as we make a traditional toy and churn our own butter.
- Wednesday – at FLE. Library book exchange.
- Thursday – at FLE.
- Friday – at FLE. Gr. K-2 AM Walk to Fort Langley Historic Site for a guided program about Langley in the Fur Trade days. Hawk Assembly in the afternoon.
