The year started off with just enough snow to build mini snow people. We are currently learning about 2D and 3D shapes in math through play and hands-on activities.
The cold snap is a great time to tell stories about animals that survive the cold.
The week ahead: January 15-19
- Monday – at the park. We will be walking directly to the shelter leaving at 8:30 AM. Late arrivals, please drive through the campsite to the McTavish Group Site. At the group site, we have a heated shelter and a fire pit.
- Tuesday – at the park. Same plan for walking immediately to the shelter. We have an interpreter from the Fraser River Discovery Centre coming to teach us about the river habitat.
- Wednesday – at FLE.
- Thursday – at FLE. Library and Home Reading Book Exchange. Crazy socks and hair day. Fun lunch.
- Friday – at FLE. No walk planned.
