Fraser River discovery week

The year started off with just enough snow to build mini snow people. We are currently learning about 2D and 3D shapes in math through play and hands-on activities.

The cold snap is a great time to tell stories about animals that survive the cold.

The week ahead: January 15-19

  • Monday – at the park. We will be walking directly to the shelter leaving at 8:30 AM. Late arrivals, please drive through the campsite to the McTavish Group Site. At the group site, we have a heated shelter and a fire pit.
  • Tuesday – at the park. Same plan for walking immediately to the shelter. We have an interpreter from the Fraser River Discovery Centre coming to teach us about the river habitat.
  • Wednesday – at FLE.
  • Thursday – at FLE. Library and Home Reading Book Exchange. Crazy socks and hair day. Fun lunch.
  • Friday – at FLE.┬áNo walk planned.
