Students are settling in well and enjoying social play and activity centres. We are working on colours, practicing fine motor skills, observing colours around us and how they may be associated with feelings, special events or seasons. We will begin special helper routines and “All About Me” sharing this week. When it is your child’s turn, they will bring home a notice so you can help them prepare to share a few items to tell about themselves (favourite things, family…) the next day. As Summer ends this week, we’ll start observing the changes that seasonal shift brings. We’ll also learn about Terry Fox, and what values make him a Canadian hero. There are several ways students can participate in the school fundraising activities. If you send a cash donation, please send it in a labeled envelope. Loose change causes excitement and stress in the classroom! Our whole class will take part in a 30-minute run/walk around the school field on Friday afternoon. Parents are welcome to come watch but it’s not expected.

- Monday – At the school. Afternoon walk to nearby park.
- Tuesday – At the park. Dress for rainy and cool weather. Include extra clothes in the backpack in case.
- Wednesday – At the school.
- Thursday – At the school. LEAP Info Session @ 5:00pm in the gym. Please help spread the word to new families who may be interested in enrolling for the 2025/26 school year. If you have not yet attended an Info Session, please come.
- Friday – At the school. Morning walk. Afternoon Terry Fox activities.
