Peaceful week

PXL_20231103_160755407Students are completing their math unit on patterns and their eyes are finding patterns everywhere!

We had a fun, busy week with Halloween activities and our final day at the park with flashlight reading and roasting. I’ll miss the beautiful rocky creeks and the resident owl.

The week ahead: November 6-10

This week, we begin learning about Remembrance Day. We’ll be reciting a poem at the assembly on Thursday. Leading up to this, students will be guided to reflect on what the poppy symbolizes and what peace means to them. We are also lucky to have a bat expert coming to teach us more about local bats!

  • Monday – at the new park.
  • Tuesday – at the park.
  • Wednesday – at FLE. Walk to the cenotaph with K classes.
  • Thursday – at FLE. Remembrance Day Assembly, Library, and Bat workshop.
  • Friday – no school for students (Design and Assessment/Report Card Prep Day)
  • Monday – Holiday for Remembrance Day

Have a wonderful long weekend! See you all Tuesday, Nov. 14
